The most serious disruption to a program that hitherto has been synonymous with patriotism, order and reverence, developed in Queens. About 1,000 white-robed and hooded Klansmen, with 400 women relatives and friends, sought to participate in the Memorial Day parade through Jamaica. The result was a riot."
